Electricity!

It was difficult to get it sorted ..... but thanks to my friend Susannah who speaks very good French, today is the day it will be reconnected. Its really important for Paul so he can do his work.

This photo is from the front of the house on a very cold day in February (-13) I was lucky with my visit a few weeks earlier when it was mild and sunny.

The house has been build and added on over hundreds of years, this was the entrance to the oldest part which was a very small and simple stone cottage.

Auzon in February

I had expected snow but it was sunny and mild and it was great to be back and see Paul's work.The new windows and doors and the wall gone made a big difference. Lots more heavy work to come though as several more beams need to be replaced.

A winter trip London - Paris - Clermont - Auzon and return...

This was my third trip following the same route starting at St Pancras with a stop over in Paris. I could take the time for a bit of culture..... Leonardo's Virgin on the rock in Louvre is one of my favourites. A night in Paris and then the early morning train to Clermont-Ferrand to meet up with Paul and Judith.
