Goodbye to Auzon for now!

A last splash of colour before I go...I'll be back very soon.

A poem inspired by a rainy day in Auzon.

                  

The magic of nature....

First floor being cleared for further work!

This is the space that will be my dining room. The floorboards are too damaged to be used so we will get new oak boards.

This is going to be a space for relaxing and reading. 

Next step

We have restored the loft and the second floor and created a living space I love, but there is so much more to come this year.

On the ground floor 

The next step will be to replace a wall on the ground floor that will support beams. Beams will be replaced and we will put in a new staircase from the ground floor to the first floor. 

On the first floor

The old oak floorboards will be replaced and some of the walls will get insulated and plastered some of the walls will keep the orginlal stones exsposed.

This is a huge job and will take time but it is very exciting I will keep updating you here on my blog.

Books from the loft finally have a place!

I went out this morning picking fresh young nettle and made my first-ever nettle soup!
